How Government Works; How You Can Work More Effectively in Government
This workshop will help experienced analysts and new employees alike understand how proposals for policies and programmes move through government.

This workshop provides both a broad and a detailed road map of government, including such topics as the mechanics of government, the policy-making process, legislation, and regulations. This workshop can be used as a precursor to the other workshops which provide intensive training in one particular skill set. Registration is limited to 20 participants.
Who will benefit from this workshop
Experienced public servants will be introduced to the fundamental laws that shape government policy, and will round out their knowledge of the mechanics of government; New public servants will learn about the basic processes of government; Non-public servants, from business or the not-for-profit sector, will start to understand what makes government tick.
